Keeping in mind the company's goal of democratizing the music industry, RoAndCo wanted to focus on brand approachability while honoring the delicate balance between art and business in the music world. The calligraphic forms in the Downtown Music logo are echoed in the iconography system, adding the kind of human touch that's essential for creativity across all art forms — especially music.
To bring Downtown Music to life in the digital space, RoAndCo worked with the client to create its first corporate website. Catering to investors and potential business prospects, the site needed to feel informative, timely, and intuitive. We developed the user experience to account for company growth and expansion, giving it structure while building in flexibility for the future. Built with Contentful, the site seamlessly integrates newsworthy content with business information to foster the discovery of all Downtown's brands.
Downtown Music Publishing Web Design
In addition to Downtown Music's corporate site, RoAndCo also developed a platform for the publishing side of the business, which has a different audience. The site was meant to feel more playful, helping users understand the publishing department's scope and discover the wide range of music catalogs, artists, and songwriters it represents.
