Candela's SS13 campaign drew inspiration from the nostalgic romanticism of the French colonial empire of the 1930s. The shoot was set in an old colonial style home by the seaside amidst tall sea grass and vines. We emphasized the delicate femininity of lace and floral materials by placing the models in languid poses reminiscent of Catherine Deneuve in the film, Indochine. The result was a wistful presentation of the SS13 collection - romantic, cinematic and sentimental.
